My Vision as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Leydis Corripio Rico FNU May 5, 2021 2 My Vision as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse I am an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with advanced education and practical experience. I have a master's degree in nursing, and the major duties I do in the medical field are providing primary care, mental care services, managing chronic diseases, and birthing. Sundean et al. (2019) affirm that due to dynamic changes in health care and drugs, I must be involved in continuous education to understand the current developments in the nursing field. As an APRN, my main vision is to provide quality services to patients. Sundean et al. (2019) claim that patients deserve the best services as they are, in a way the employers of the nurses. I should ensure that these patients receive the attention and care they need toward recovery. I have to follow up with their progress by providing positivity in them and helping them gain hope of living. I have a vision of ensuring the patients get their recommended medicine to fasten their recovery process. Sundean et al. (2019) explain that patients believe that nurses are more knowledgeable on issues on health, thus trusting them with health issues. I will also teach my junior nurses to maintain the trust these patients have in them by ensuring they administer the recommended drugs. To ensure efficiency, I will concentrate on my field of specialty as an APRN. I will prioritize the needs of patients toward their progress on recovery by listening to them and clarifying the uncertainties in them. Listening and providing remedies play a role in making the patient feel appreciated. According to the nursing code of conduct, I have the mandate of maintaining the confidentiality of the patients' information. According to Weeks et al. (2017), this helps in safeguarding their dignity. 3 I will ensure I maintain constant communication with the patients. The communication will be clear and effective to promote understanding of each other. I will focus on the welfare of the patients so that the patients feel cared for and protected. Weeks et al. (2017) claim that this promotes a positive mind toward recovery. Proving excellent services play a key role in promoting the healthy living of the patients. 4 References Sundean, L. J., White, K.
