My name is Dorian Winters-Conkle and I am a full-time student and a stay at home mother of four children. I am a psychology major and I am a sociology minor. I am taking this course because I believed it would give me a better understanding of how and why individuals behave and think the way that they do. After reading the first chapter I realized social psychology is very similar to sociology. Social psychology will allow me to better analysis of societal issues and the way people impact those issues.

When I am not studying, I am spending time with my children. They are involved in many different sports and we enjoy doing new things together. I also enjoy writing, reading, and knitting when I have some free time. When I was pregnant with my youngest daughter I wrote and published my first book. It was very cathartic and allowed me to work through trauma I had experienced throughout my life. I am currently working on my second book and I hope it is released by the Spring of 2021.
