Formative - Trend Digest Meeting Before you present your Brief to your client (your chosen brand) you need to present your development and research to a team (team being your peers). This is a vital step to sense-check your ideas before finally sending your brief to your client. The team will review your research, development, and resulting ideas to ensure it is substantiated by trend theory and processes. You will present the following in a 4 minute live presentation to the team in Zoom/breakout rooms on Tuesday 27th July. 1) Introduce your chosen trend and your client, and validate why the trend is suitable for the client for 2022. Ensure you utilise relevant and reliable secondary sources to substantiate your points. 2) Introduce your client's customer, and validate why the trend is suitable for the customer (or potential customer) for 2022. Ensure you utilise relevant and reliable secondary sources to substantiate your points. 3) Apply one of the following trend frameworks to demonstrate and analyse an aspect of your trend. Summative - Strategic Foresight Brief The project culminates in your Strategic Foresight Brief. You will need to provide a creative, inspiring, informative, and bespoke Brief for your client (your chosen brand). The Strategic Foresight Brief should be no more than 2x A4 pages and be creative and visual in its layout. Your List of Images and bibliography will be in addition to this this page limit. Your briefing must be compiled in InDesign and exported as a PDF for submission. The final submission must be one PDF only, you do not need a cover sheet. o o o Elements to include for your Strategic Foresight Brief: Projection for 2022. Utilise theory, methodology and processes delivered in this unit to analyse, map and understand your chosen trend, and apply it to your chosen brand, their customer, their market and their business for 2022. Use this to guide your research process in this unit. 3. Consider the opportunities and risks that are ahead for your chosen brand, and their customer for 2022. 4. Start to formulate some future strategic options for your brand. It might be guidance on their product/service, or their communications, or their overall business model, their target consumer, or their physical presence (including locations). 5. Locate supporting secondary research to support your future strategic options (point 4). Perhaps there are other brands or sectors already moving in this direction? Is there any consumer research that you can find to support your ideas? 6. Finalise and package your findings and ideas in your Strategic Foresight Brief.
