Written Assignment 1
As you grow and evolve as a practitioner, you must be able to clearly define organizational context, identify the problem scope, and apply a model/theory. The primary elements of organizational context include industry, organization size, market demographics, financial health, budget restrictions, staffing, internal culture, and organizational design and structure. These can be expanded and you are encouraged to add other defining elements, if applicable.
Next, you must identify the scope of your decision; that is, you must understand how far-reaching its consequences will be. For instance, when making decisions about staffing or hiring, is the decision scope limited to one position or the entire staffing/hiring process? Finally, you must choose and apply a decision-making model/theory appropriate for the organizational context and problem scope.
