Write an 8-page narrative essay (about 2000 ish words) on your learnings in General Chemistry II and how those learnings intersect with your COVID experience and your larger learning journey (for college). How did this class impact your understanding of general chemistry II topics discussed during the pandemic? Did you learn any lessons you hadn't before about how you learn or what kinds of material you can learn? How do you plan on taking those lessons learned into future classes? The narrative needs to be 12-point font, double-spaced, 1-inch margins. I expect a fair amount of coverage of the topics in General Chemistry II (the highlights and the growth opportunities and at least 3 pages) but in your own words. 

Main Topics learned in General Chemistry 2 / Good research questions to help for the essay:

1. Equilibrium, free energy, and electrochemical potential are all important topics in this course. What is the relationship between these three topics?
2. Equilibrium is by far the most covered subject in this course. discuss its roots in kinetics.
3. Often thermodynamics and kinetics are collectively referred to as reaction energetics in chemistry. How do thermodynamics and kinetics differ? How are they similar to one another?
4. Chemistry is the study of matter and how it changes, and matter is composed of atoms and molecules. How do the interactions between molecules and atoms affect the properties (both chemical and physical) of various substances?
5. Graphical analysis is an important skill in chemistry and was used throughout the semester. When and why is graphical analysis useful in understanding the material in this course?

Important Information about myself that can be used to help in the essay:

• Junior in college
• work full time (40 hr weeks)
• have a family of 5 (2 older brothers, 1 sister, Dad, and myself)
• I have been COVID positive before, I know all too well how it feels and the hardships of it.
• I believe that schooling being made online due to COVID has made it a lot easier to be able to work and do school at the same time much easier. But at the same time, it has made learning a joke since it is a lot easier to cheat/lookup answers than to actually take the time and learn the subject like you would in person.
• My intended major is Biology with a minor in Chemistry. Gen Chem 2 is a mandatory class for the major, and also connects to future classes like OChem.
• I plan on attending PA school where Gen Chem 2 is a required elective.
