I am not sure I could come up with a direct link that I know of about social media and the works of memory but I can think of how social media personally affects my memory. During the Talk Peter Doolittle mentions that we could really only hold 4 things in our short term memory ( 3:00). With this being said when I scroll through social media I will get reminded of thing to do or that interest me. I will countie to scroll before trying to go look for the information I need, but with in a few seconds and scrolls later I can not remember at all what I wanted to look up. So I usually start all over and try to jog my memory or rethink if it when I saw the original trigger picture or post. Because I sometimes skim books or post my brain does not fully capture what I am attempting remember or learn.
