The growth equation in resource economics is described as how one in a civil society acquires the share of what other individuals have generated and how society's total product is determined and varies over time. The allocation of natural resources should contribute to the total product of society modifications. The use of natural resources should complement the maintenance of natural resources according to the growth equation.
