MKT214 4 Assignments March 20 18 - 2 - ASSIGNMENT 1: GROUP ASSIGNMENT Instructions to students: Group Assignment (presentation (10%) and report (20%) ) Total = 30% Students will be allocated a group of 3 or 4 people which ideally will provide a good gender and ethnic mix. This is particularly important in supply chain management where both Customers and Suppliers are likely to be of significantly different backgrounds. The Group will be aske d to examine and analyze the routes to market of a Malaysian product (e.g. a cup of coffee, using, for example, Starbucks, Costa Coffee, and a Kopitiam etc.) T he origins of the raw materials utilized and th e processes undergone should also be detailed . The transportation of these product componen ts should be identified the distribution strategy describing the process to followed by final arrival at the retail level. The assignment should be delivered b y way of a written report (c. 2,5 00 words) and a PowerP oint pres entation. Marks will be allocated to a group and moderated by group member peer review to ensure equal student contributions. Creative methods of demonstrating the manufacturing process and distribution strategy are encouraged. 1. The assignment must be printed in Times New Roman 12, wi th 1.5 spacing.
