A significant problem regarding the sales of organs is the scarcity of available organs. Because selling of organs is illegal in almost every country, there is a shortage of availability to those in need. The black market could play a roll in increasing available organs. If it were legalized, then the black market could lower pricing so more people would have the chance to buy, not just the rich. Right now people turn to the black market because it takes less time to recieve an organ for transplantation. This problem has not been solved because of several reasons, religion, rejection, morality, and the fact of fairness. The rich would benefit far more than the poor. I think if it was legalized and regulated then it would help. By doing background checks on recipients and donors might help seperate any health or illegal situations, making flat rate pricing would even out the unfairness between the rich and the poor. Solutions are hard because of religion, so those who have the belief that the body should be held sacred have a choice to make. The benefits are obviously more available organs along with being as fair as possible in the way the organs are handed out. Don't think the cost would be too bad, doing background checks are a huge part of everyday life, new jobs, military, etc. In the long run it would save more lives to legalize but must be done under close monitoring.
