In this activity, you'll collect ideas for a public essay, research a chosen topic, create a draft, and revise it.
Part A
First, think about the different events that have influenced the world and society. Then, select a notable national or world event that has influenced you. Note the ways in which you can develop that topic.

Make notes as you develop your viewpoint and opinion based on your research. Then write the thesis for your essay.

Write a rough draft of your essay. After you've written the first draft, review and revise the draft. Follow your revisions with a round of proofreading to detect if you missed any errors during the review process. Before submitting your final draft consider the following points:
