Begin brainstorming by making a list of different characteristics or traits. Then select 4-5 that you feel you already have. Or select 2-3 that you already have and 1-2 that you need to work on. Once you have identified the characteristics you will be writing about, start jotting down ideas to develop these characteristics. You might want to have 4 pages – one for each characteristic when you brainstorm ideas. Successful students are goal-driven. Students aiming to be successful are motivated by their set goals. To achieve them, they must be persistent and consistent in their academics and talents (Tsilmak et al., 2020). Successful students develop their goals focusing on what they want to accomplish and not from other people’s expectations like parents or peer pressure. These goals can either be personal or academic, and teachers, parents should not set them or other persons, but instead, it should be the student's will to set goals they can achieve (Tsilmak et al., 2020). Even when faced with low exam tests, the student should always persevere to achieve their set goals as these challenges are short-term, but success is long-term. When they fail, they should not make excuses but move forward and learn from the adversity. A successful student who has a set goal to achieve should always stay focused and avoid distractions. A student should always focus on the progressive goals rather than the big goals because they are more effective. This means that a successful student should be able to break big goals like getting high grades, innovating and they should also integrate feedback from their teacher, parents, and fellow students each time they get them. This will eventually lead them to achieve great things.
Successful students are persevering and consistent. Successful students always should persevere and be consistent with the set goal. Perseverance also equals hard work. Therefore, no matter how challenging their courses or subjects are, a student does not give up but perseveres to succeed as it's only through putting more effort that they will be able to have good performance or excellent results. A student should always know that learning takes time and there will be challenges like a failure along the way, but they should always persevere and be consistent because success comes after a struggle (Hampton, 2016). Therefore a successful student should always be persevering and consistent as critical in character development in students to face things no matter how hard they seem to be, primarily in their academics or talents. Perseverance and consistency will help them to ignore obstacles and move forward towards achieving their set goal. Successful students can learn and further develop the qualities of perseverance to have the ability to be successful at any task ahead of them (Hampton, 2016). Suppose they can achieve simple goals they have set. In that case, it's also possible to perform complex or complicated goals through perseverance and consistency in their set goals in academics and personal talent.

Successful students motivate themselves. Focusing on, prioritizing, or doing next is upon a successful student to decide without telling. For example, a successful student may prioritize preparing for their exams than attending a family gathering to ensure their success in the study, which is a trait that will serve the student well throughout their life. Setting a primary goal by a successful student brings them satisfaction and a sense of accomplishment upon reaching or achieving that particular goal (Gunanegara et al., 2017). Successful students take time to think about what motivates them and focus on their studies to achieve their goals. They as well should not compare themselves with any other students. A successful student should consider competing with their own life, which will motivate them to work hard to better their lives as failure will mean that they will automatically be failures in life.
In conclusion, students should always know that there is no shortcut to success. To be successful, they have to conduct themselves so that success will automatically come after they have accomplished all the essential requirements of success. Requirements include being good driven, persevering and consistent, managing time well, having self-motivation, and having a mind to study. These qualities will always be different from the students who will fail and succeed depending on who follows and adhere to them later. Students who adhere to these qualities will eventually succeed, and they will have no excuses for failure. However, those who fail to achieve always have reasons, whether the failed task was complicated or straightforward. Therefore students who have or follow these qualities will always be successful no matter the obstacles they encounter, and there will be no boundaries for their success.
