There are two parts to the task

Writing

There are two parts to the
task. I will put an estimate word limit next to each section for those who like to work towards that.
Part 1:
You are to create a student/learner profile of three (3) students who need, or needed, a Behaviour
Management Plan. The profile will consist of subheadings and answers. You will find more details following.
Part 2:
You will construct a Behaviour Management Plan (BMP) for the above three (3) students. You will clearly
identify the student’s behaviour needs and where you believe they may be stemming from (e.g. Difficulties
with learning, socialisation difficulties, an unstable home, lashing out for attention, emotional difficulties,
poor coping skills, psychological hardship, mental health issues, a possible behavioural condition, disability
or purely, poor behaviour choices). More details to follow.
Sourcing your students:
You can use students who are in your own class currently, students who you have taught recently (e.g., you
may wish to use Will from 2019, Mandy from 2018 and Toni from this year). For those who haven’t been in a
classroom (and for those of you wish to try something ‘new’) you will be selecting a movie and choosing
three students from that movie to focus upon. This ‘alternative option’ will provide you with the chance to
really detect and immerse yourself in the characters that you select, finding out their backgrounds and why
they keep “getting into trouble”. The best movies for this task, which focus on multiple students, are:
? The Breakfast Club
? Dead Poet’s Society
? Harry Potter (specific which)
? Stand and Deliver
? School of Rock
? Freedom Writers
? There are many other movies, if you wish to use another movie, check with me first
I would suggest if you are not familiar with any of these movies, that you select the Breakfast Club. If you
are unsure of any of these movies, then have a look through youtube clips. You’ll get a good overview of the
‘type’ of movie and the characters (who will become your students)
