Guidelines for Cultural Experience Paper Cultural Experience Paper Guidelines Intercultural Experience Paper For this paper, you will be required to do some outside research as well as watch a movie or documentary on a culture you are not familiar with or have little interaction with. For this paper, you will need to pick a film or documentary from a different culture that you wish to explore on. Places to look for documentaries are Hulu or Netflix. ( if you have questions as to what is an appropriate documentary, ask me please) Once you have selected your event, you will be required to do research on the culture/event you are going to experience. You will need 2 academic sources that explain the event/practices/occasion that you are about to attend. You are also required to discussed the misconceptions that you have heard/or have seen in the media about this culture. Having done research about this, you will watch the documentary/ film and experience it. In your- 3-4- page paper you will answer the following questions: What did your research say the event/culture/people would be like? (this is where you cite your sources) What was it like to watch the film? (explain how you felt, what you saw and how it changes your perspective on the culture) What did you learn about yourself in the event? (are you less open? Are you uncomfortable? why?) Guidelines: Times New Roman, 12 pt font, double-spaced, 1’ margins. MLA format in text citations and works cited
