RESEARCH PAPER (25%): This essay will be the final step after developing your topic from the beginning of the quarter. You will use the evidence you located to support your thesis statement using APA format in a well-developed essay. The strongest way to make an argument is to provide evidence; your thesis is your argument, and at least three outside sources are your evidence. No more than 20% of your paper can be quoted, paraphrased, or summarized from your outside sources. ORAL PRESENTATION (10%): After all of your hard work choosing, researching, and developing a topic, you will be presenting your findings to the class. Each presentation MUST be approximately four minutes; you will be timed. If you are not present in class on the day of the oral presentation due to an unexcused absence, you will not receive any points for the presentation.
