The purpose of this assignment is to give you the opportunity for guided practice in the development of patient/client/family education materials. For this assignment you will choose any topic related to Maternal and Infant Health. This can include any health problems or diseases that are frequently associated with this patient population and create an educational pamphlet teaching the patient reliable information about the topic. All work must be IN YOUR OWN WORDS.
Examples include but are not limited to: breastfeeding, postpartum care instructions, car seat safety, circumcision care, bleeding during pregnancy, gestational diabetes, hypertensive disorders, nutrition, adolescent pregnancy, pregnancy over 35, high risk pregnancy, pre-term labor, STIs, contraceptives, stages of labor, etc.
