Background
 

This workbook contains:

1)  A random data set of Digital Media bookings over 14 quarters (Q1’18 through Q2’21). Bookings is a commonly-used KPI in the SaaS space, which measures the incremental business sold in a given fiscal period and sales teams are compensated on bookings performance. The bookings data included in the case study is available at the account level and includes firmographic information such as Geo and Market Segment (i.e. see "Data Dictionary tab for more information)

2) "Sign_Data Center Set Up Cost" tab contains the cost to set up a data center.
Problem Statement

The VP of the Digital Media Business Unit wants to understand historical bookings performance and review forward-looking projections for the total Digital Media Enterprise business (i.e. one year forward looking projection should cover Q3'21 through Q2'22). 

The VP does not have a lot of background on historical bookings performance, so metrics such as linearity (what weeks bookings close during a quarter), the impact of outliers (large deals that have a material impact on the overall number), contribution by geo / market segment / Product, and Y/Y growth rates are of interest.  These data points should help frame up the discussion going into the one year forward-looking projection.

Additionally, with these trends, the VP is wondering if there is a need for an additional data center to support DOCU Sign's (i.e. an DOCU product offering) growth.
