This topic will be used for this assignment, part 1, and also part 2 in which you will propose an experiment to investigate the topic. Write about 3 sentences to describe your topic. (3 points) a) Please select a topic: i. that is related to at least one chapter in the course textbook. ii. that can be investigated using at least two different nervous system measurement methods discussed in Chapter 3 of the course textbook. Furthermore, in part 2 of the term project assignment, you will need to propose an investigation that has elements of measuring both behavioural/cognitive and brain function. iii. for which there are numerous prior and relevant published journal articles. b) You may wish to consult online listings of recent research findings for inspiration, such as: i. https://www.nature.com/subjects/cognitive-neuroscience ii. https://www.cogneurosociety.org/cns-2021-blog/ iii. https://www.sciencedaily.com/terms/cognitive_neuroscience.htm 2. Find at least five original and empirical research articles from journal articles that describe prior investigations into topics close and related to your chosen topic. Notes: • Empirical: An empirical study is one that includes scientific methodology based on experimentation, systematic observation, or measurement, rather than theoretical formulation.
