The changing technology has pushed business organizations to incorporate information systems in their operations (Texas A & M, University, 2021).  Some of the concepts in the information system comprising; Software, hardware, database, people, and network. Hardware refers to the tangible devices and equipment in a computer system such as the mouse and interface. Examples of information systems comprise; transaction processing systems, office automation systems, and management information systems. A transaction processing system refers to a combination of software that helps a business in carrying out transactions. Office automation system plays a significant role in boosting clerical work productivity and improving communication in an institution. Automating processes in an organization reduces time spent on clerical tasks such as creating reports and preparing and organizing customer data (Kelly Connct, 2021). The system also speeds up the retrieval process, reduces storage time and provides a platform for employees to access data simultaneously.  In contrast, a management information system helps in monitoring and managing production activities in an institution.
