When healthcare specialists specialist position such as a nurse, interviewers always want to create a good impression. Employers usually aim to find healthcare professionals they can trust with their patients' lives. Therefore, as one aspiring to be a professional nurse, the following questions should be included.

Name, position held, company, and how long have they worked for this company/organization/agency?  Attach business card and/or contact information.

The question allows the interviewee to outline a broad overview regarding educational background, work experience, any other related passionate thing that the employer should understand you are interested in.

What is the company/organization/agency mission statement or philosophy?

The question plays a significant role in telling whether the potential employee understands what the organization stands for. Besides, it is also telling whether they understand the philosophy or simply how the facility operates.

What are the minimum qualifications for the position held?

The question on minimum qualification prepares the interviewee to understand that if they have a secure place, then what academic qualifications, work experience, skills, and competencies they must meet to perform their roles and responsibilities.

What aspects do they enjoy the most in this position?  The least?

In this case, the interviewer is determined to learn what makes one interested in this team. The interviewee should be honest, with the aspects backed with well-researched facts.

Does the company you work for provide in-service education/training for its employees and offer continuing education programs?  If so, what have you attended lately?

The question is closely related to how healthcare professionals stay up-to-date on merging advancements in the industry. This enables the employee to know how the organization supports continuing education or training, available courses, and sponsors such programs.

Why do you believe you were selected for your current position?

It is at this point that the interviewee should share some of their biggest strengths that make them fit to serve in different positions such as leadership. Nonetheless, the interviewer may see whether the said strengths align with what the organization wants from an ideal candidate.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? In 10 years?

It is during this stage that interviewees should spell out their career goals. While there is a time frame of 5 years or ten years plan, it is important to focus such goals on the near future. Besides, ensure that the employer is part of the said goals.

What advice would you give someone like me whose career objective is to be a nurse?

Again, the question presents the interviewee with the chance to motivate the aspiring employee. Besides, at this point, one should share challenges facing those in the industry and what needs to be done to address them. Also, the kind of person that one needs to be to sustain work stressors and what should be driving one to develop the passion for working as a clinician.

Where do you see the future of health care?

It is important to note that employers look for innovative thinkers with the drive to improve health care processes. Thus, creative thinkers can connect between different roles as well as specialties to offer an innovative way to care (Sinclair et al., 2018). Furthermore, new technological innovations are revolutionizing this industry, and this demands that health care organizations acquire professionals who are able to adapt.

Why did you decide to work in the healthcare sector?

This question is crucial because the potential employer can know what motivates a healthcare professional and their dedication to the roles. In this regard, it offers an interviewee the chance to demonstrate the desire to improve the population's lives (Sinclair et al., 2018). This is because clinicians are not required to master clinical skills but should also show compassion and human nature.

Briefly share more information about and how you understood you wanted to be a healthcare professional?

The questions enable the interviewer if a potential employer has a genuine interest in helping others. Health care professionals should be passionate and dedicated, which potentially came due to personal experiences in life. Besides, while the question allows the interviewee to share an educational background and work experience, personal experiences in life and passion for care are a good fit within the healthcare sector (Sinclair et al., 2018).
