InstructionsFor this Professional Experience, you will practice a professional recording for the presentation narration outline you created in the Week 7 assignment. This is an audio recording in PowerPoint that is integrated and saved in a PowerPoint PPT file. See the following resources for using PowerPoint. The purpose of this assignment is for you to become familiar with the record audio technology in PowerPoint, and to practice your speaking skills to record audio narration. You will use and the PowerPoint presentation you created in Week 6 and record the presentation narration you outlined in Week 7. This is the same presentation that you have been working on with the addition of practicing to record the audio for the first few slides of your presentation. As you complete your presentation, refer to the general design requirements found in Chapter 12 of the BCOM text.

  • Record narration for the key points on each slide (for now, focus on just the first 2–3 slides).
    • Narration provides more information than just the text on each slide.
    • Use a narration outline to guide your narration recording.
    • Include transition statements to move the presentation from slide to slide.
      • Review Chapter 4 in the BCOM text for foundations of writing transitions.
  • Save the file to your desktop using the file name format:
    • LastName_PE5_PPT.pptx

Requirements

  • Record narration for the first 2–3 slides you created in the Week 6 assignment using the presentation narration outline you developed in the Week 7 assignment.
    • Use friendly, professional language and tone in your message.
  • The narration should explain the information on the slides and include transitions from slide to slide.
  • Include an interesting introduction about yourself and the presentation.
  • Record your narration in the slide presentation on each of the three slides using the Record function in PowerPoint.
    • See the assignment instructions for how to record audio in PowerPoint.
