Technology has constantly been upgrading in the business world with innovation, increased competition, etc. Although these technological advancements are introduced in the workplace to reduce the time consumed to perform the task and improve efficiency, technological advancement is also said to add stress to the employee (Hurley, n.d.). There are hundreds of software, some of which are constantly being introduced in the market. The employees at work are expected to adjust to all new technology introduced at the workplace, sometimes without obtaining formal training for it. Their maximum time goes in figuring out how to use the technology, and once they get used to a new one is introduced, adding frustration of retraining with it, and the cycle continues. This is very common in our healthcare field, where each clinic uses different software for documentation.

Recently due to the changes in the way to document, we had to make a few changes in the software to make the documentation perfect. This increased the stress on the PTs as they did not get sufficient training for it and constantly had to redo the notes in addition to the increasing patient load, which added to the stress. Moreover, the advancement of virtual meetings, emails, chatbox, etc., has reduced face-to-face human interaction, which snatches their basic right of socialization and increases the stress leaving them with a feeling of loneliness and isolation.
