EGGS THE WAY THEY SHOULD BE omEGGa Assignment Description and Background Advertisements are used to inform and entice consumers in a particular market about a product or service. Food and beverage product advertisements, especially the type presented on package labels often feature nutrition content or health claims to appeal to customers in the target market. (There are no FDA-approved claims for carbohydrate diets or protein for bodybuilding) • Statements and claims should be a few words max-long word strings and sentences are not common in marketing and packaging ads. • Advertisement must be original. It is acceptable to use cropped and edited graphics from the internet to help create larger-scoped visual concepts; however, it is unacceptable to copy and submit completed images created by other individuals. • Simple and low-tech displays, like the example showing above, will be scored similarly as more artistic or skillful work as long as the target audience is addressed and the claims are truthful and accurate. • Acceptable presentation styles include, but are not limited to, hand-drawings, adapted internet images or photographs, and computer- processed art, in-color or black and white, and in abstract or more literal forms. Videos are amazing, but not expected. Literally all styles and creative formats are welcomed. "Appendix A-D of this Guide lists every FDA Nutrition Claim allowed on foods.
