Project Proposal: Initiating and Planning
Description of the project
A project proposal involves stating ways and descriptions of carrying out and finishing up a particular project. This project will involve a wedding. It will take place for twelve months. The project will plan each aspect of the wedding of two people. It will involve reception and ceremony as well. This approach will aid in ensuring that all requirements needed for a successful wedding are met.
Project Objectives
There are several objectives of this project. One of the primary goals is to help the groom have a beautiful wedding experience (1). This will make the occasion exclusive and memorable. When early planning is done, there will be enough time to prepare for a successful wedding. Another objective is planning a wedding that will be timely, without time wastage, hence saving the attendees' time. Moreover, planning a wedding that is within the budget to avoid unplanned expenses is also a project's goal. It is also aimed to help the stakeholders and the rest of the team know what kind of resources are required to make the wedding a success.
Key customers and stakeholders
The main clients are the bride and the groom. The wedding will also have stakeholders. One of the major ones is the project sponsors, and their responsibilities involve procurement of funds and approval of the completion of the project (2). I will be the project manager, and my roles include coordinating each aspect of the project, ensuring that each deliverable is done as per the budget and on time, coordinating contractors, and ensuring there is excellent completion of the project. I will as well talk to the stakeholders about any arising issues.
Deliverables
Some of the wedding project deliverables include the reception venue, wedding ceremony venue, the wedding party, the colors of the wedding, and the guest list (1). The reception venue is where the reception of the bride, groom, the maids, and the guests is done (3). The wedding venue refers to the location where the wedding will talk place. The color of the clothes to be worn as well as the decorations is an essential deliverable. Lastly, the guest list refers to a list of individuals who will be invited to the occasion.
High-level timeline
The project plan is to be conducted within 12 months. The wedding plan timetable and creating the priorities list will be done within the first month. Later, the setting of the budget will be done the following month. Organizing and planning the list of guests, registration, and ensuring the engagement ring will be conducted within the third to tenth month. The eleventh and twelfth months will involve polishing up what may not be entirely done.
Cost and additional resources
The estimated total cost of the project is $10,000. The wedding will have about 200 guests, and the budget is meant to make sure that every guest is satisfied and happy.
Additional resources required for this project include party favors, ceremony programs, wedding cake, flowers, drinks and foods, wedding invitations, photographers, a DJ, videographer, wedding invitations, wedding day transportation, and the reception site entirely decorated and arranged.
