EdTPA Lesson Segment
Unit Introduction
Elementary grade learners need a fine introduction that reveals the kind of activities within our social spheres. Their education approach includes understanding the basic units and the importance of such education to their lives (Cowling, n.d). One of the approaches today is the inclusion of social studies in their syllabi to remind them of the family, home, and society. Their basic understanding of these cadres of the study derives their attention on the complexity of the community and elaborates to them the various form of developments from social perspectives.
One social unit that learners need an introduction to is culture. In as much as they understand the different things happening within their environment, they should also understand the various formations of the society from a cultural point of view. The following are the listed views on why learning cultures become a priority to learners.
