In our culture, Gifts are always a blessing. They represent an extension of someone expression of their relations with another person. In essence, gifts depict our unique relationship with each other. For me, birthday presents are very important gifts that often leave a lasting impression. Among the best birthday presents, I have received a miniature toy BMW Model car. This toy, a mirror version of my most beloved BMW, was gifted to me by a close friend. Three reasons I consider this gift was the re-affirmation of friendship. It symbolizes happiness and celebration of life and is finally motivated to strive harder towards further achievements in life.

           This gift is a re-affirmation of my unique relationship with my friend. Gifts establish connections with others. In my case, this gift created an appreciation of our long friendship and unique bond. This miniature might not have cost much in the market, but it is priceless to me. It indicates the nature of our friendship to the point of receiving expensive gifts to celebrate my birthday. Its impact was immeasurable, which is why I treasure this gift so much.

           This gift symbolizes happiness and celebration as I turned a year older. It always reminded me of the best birthday I have had. The miniature BMW model helped in celebrating my life. This gift was customized to mirror my actual car interiors and other minors’ adjustments. I could carry the miniature BMW Model car in areas where my beloved car could not physically go. The gift always reminds me of the joy I had as I realized the dream of owning the car the same year. I was glad to have a unique friend who would capture this moment using artistic representations such as the gift. 

           This gift is important because it indicates the achievements that required appreciation as I turned a year older and strived harder towards further achievements. This gift has always acknowledged how far I have come and what I achieved to receive such an important gift. I chose this reason since it portrays the appreciation of friendship and achievement through gift. 

           In conclusion, this object is important to me since it affirms my relationship with my friend, reflecting our unique relationship. secondly, it symbolizes happiness and celebration of life and is finally motivated to strive towards further achievements that bring satisfaction to my family and me. My closing remarks are that: Gifts are important but more valuable is the message and meaning associated with the gift. Thank you all.

Reflection

           There are a few things I feel I have learnt from this assignment. The first thing I learnt from this assignment is the importance of appreciation. Recognizing and acknowledging this gift is important to me helped reflect on my emotions at the time and even the new ones associated with the gift. It symbolizes the happiness and celebration that has foreshadowed my life. Different objects and people often carry different meanings at different periods of my life. Some objects might seem useless now, but they have a deeper attachment to an individual’s life in the past. In my reflection, I evaluated why this gift is important compared to other more prestigious or personal gifts I have received over my time. I realized that it indicates the achievements and appreciation at a time when I needed it the most. 

The assignment helped me re-evaluate the way I prioritize and value things that happen in my life. Assessing the reasons as to why an object is important to me helped me learn the relevance of these objects to celebrating some achievements and the importance of friends in life. People have not always considered all friends as important people in their lives. This assignment has helped me understand the importance of close relations and building strong, resilient relations with those whom we value. Probably, my friend might value something else or an act to be of greater value than this object that I view to be the important gifted. 

The other thing I have learnt is the importance of gifts in the lives of individuals. Through this assignment, I have learnt that gifts communicate feelings, a source of happiness, strengthening bonds between individuals, and maintaining a connection. Through this assignment, I have learned always to appreciate gifts given by people. They always symbolize certain important things and cherish these gifts as they represent certain meaningful aspects that could not be realized immediately but are very important. 

           The important place occupied by gifts in our society has been revealed to me as I tackled this assignment. I have learned that some objects are important to our lives and play crucial roles in building relationships and provide ways of celebrating achievements. I took sometimes to familiarize with the technology used in video making. I truly enjoyed my rehearsals and looked forward to sharing my experience with other students. I had to redo the video over 10 times due to my sensitivity to my voice projection, microphone issues as well as organization of thoughts when presenting.

Another thing I feel I have learned from this assignment is the arrangement of assignments for easy understanding and the need to grab an audience’s attention. Arranging an essay, i.e., from introduction to the body and conclusion, is key to understanding the key points presented. The audience needs to be presented with ideas that will be simple to obtain and understand. This assignment has helped me learn the importance of breaking down points of an assignment to help the audience obtain information with ease. The major part of this assignment involved describing the importance of an object, which has helped me learn the importance of certain objects that we could take for granted but ate importantly.
