Update to the way you connect to data in Tableau: Tableau 2020.2 introduced several changes that impact the way you work with the data in our Tableau labs. The biggest change is to the data source page. If you intend to connect to more than one table within a spreadsheet or database, Tableau now defaults to providing you with the option to build relationships instead of joins. Tableau refers to this view as the “logical layer.” In previous versions of Tableau, the data source page defaulted to the “physical layer” in which you can build relationships between tables. To return to the physical layer so that the steps match the screenshots and steps provided in the textbook, add one table to the logical layer, and then double-click the table from the data source pane. This will open the physical layer. For more information open this file.
