Write a 7-?page essay comparing Utilitarianism, Kantianism and Feminist Ethics.
Explain the ideas of each theory and their approach to morality and the good life, and compare and contrast them to one another. Finally, assert which of these approaches you most agree with and provide an argument for your position. Themes to cover:

- Act/Rule Utilitarianism
- Cost/Benefit Calculation
- The Categorical Imperative
- Duties
- The Good Will, Autonomy, Reason
- The Ethic of Care
- Masculine/Feminine Philosophy
- Mill and Bentham, Kant, Gilligan and Manning
- In addition to the texts, you must use two outside resources, two of which must be books. Cite in footnotes.
- Your paper must be between 7 pages (2000 words), in 12 pt. font, double-?spaced, appropriately titled with name, date and class on it.
- It must be written with clarity, accuracy, and cohesion, meaning good organizational structure: you must have an introduction paragraph including a thesis statement

statements), several paragraphs devoted to your discussion, and a conclusion paragraph. You must use examples, quote texts, and use other methods of supporting your claims.
- You will lose points if your paper has continual spelling and grammar errors and is poorly written (proofread), if it fails to contain a clear thesis, conclusion, and overall structure, or if it fails to sufficiently or accurately explain the ideas you discuss.
