What is the goal of a command economic system?
The goal of a command economic system is to try to make economic outcomes more equitably distributed by placing the government in charge of all economic activities. In a capitalist or laissez-faire system, some people become very wealthy and others will not be as successful; under a command economic system, the government will try to ensure everyone more or less makes the same, or at least there is a minimum that is met. Note that this is the goal, but not necessarily the outcome borne out through hundreds of years of command economic systems.
