1. Introduce yourself to the class in a few short paragraphs (approximately 100–150 words) by starting a new thread on the Getting Acquainted Discussion Board. Click "Reply" to begin your post. In your thread think about including:
   1. Something unique or something you particularly like about yourself.
   2. Since others won't be able to see you, how can you help others get an idea of who you are?
   3. Why are you taking the course?
   4. What do you hope to get from this course?
   5. How do you think you will be changed by this course over the semester?
   6. What do you think will provide maximum growth in this course?
   7. What can you commit to doing to help others be successful?
2. After you are finished with your post, read at least 4–6 of your classmates' posts.
3. Respond to at least three with whom you find you have something in common, or who interests you. You might explain a connection you have (perhaps you have lived in the same area, served in the same mission, share common hobbies, etc.), or you might have a question about something they said. Respond sincerely (50–75 words each).
   1. Please note: newer posts will be at the bottom, and older ones appear on the top of the page. Early posts are likely to get more traffic. Think about trying to find posts with fewer responses and responding to those.
