You are to submit a composition in one of the following genres:
e Autobiographical
e Creative nonfiction
e Gothic or fantasy fiction
The final imaginative composition will be 600-800 words, and MUST be one you have drafted in class.
Students will submit a draft in Week 7 or 8 for teacher feedback, which can be drawn upon for the
multimodal reflection.
Part B: Reflection (10%)
You are also required to submit a 200-300 word multimodal reflection on the nature and purpose of your composition. In your reflection, you will need to:
e Explain how your reading and writing experiences in this unit influenced you when making decisions
about writing your own imaginative text
e Justify your choices about appropriate and effective ways to represent the chosen genre
e Represent reading and writing processes multimodally in an engaging way appropriate to audience, including annotated images of drafts, or images from any planning.
This task will assess how well you can:

of language, style and convention
