For this Research Paper Assignment, you are required to write a research paper related to your selected research question. This Research Paper Assignment is a cumulative exercise in which you must employ all of the research, objective reasoning, logic, organization, composition, formatting, and rhetorical skills covered in this course.

 

Instructions

 

Write an 8- to 10-page double-spaced paper, including an introduction to the policy issue, background of policy conflict, analysis of potential solutions to the policy problem (including competing viewpoints and associated reasoning/evidence), an application of biblical principles in evaluating potential solutions, and conclusion. Include title and Reference pages (not included in required page length). At least 10 scholarly sources are required. Formatting must follow current APA style.

 

Research & Writing Tips:

 

Review and expand your research on your chosen topic using your Purpose Statement/Outline and Annotated Bibliography as a starting point for your understanding and analysis of the issue.

Synthesize the knowledge gained from various sources by thinking about how they relate to each other and how they contribute generally and specifically to understanding of the topic. This deliberative step in the writing process will help you develop some independence from your sources.

Prior to writing your paper, develop an outline of key points. This outline will serve to guide you through the complexities of your issue. Remember, your goal is a definitive answer to the research question.

Consider using subheadings, which may be drawn from your outline, to organize your discussion.

Remember to maintain third-person perspective and objective wording throughout the discussion.
