Everyone has their own personally which brings along their own leadership styles and traits. An organization is defined by the style of its leaders (Community Toolbox, n.d.). There are four leadership styles and each of them have their own challenges that come along with them. Understanding and having knowledge of each of these things can help one adapt to working with one another.

  1. Autocratic: these leaders like to work alone and usually make decisions all on their own. While this may work in smaller organizations, it can also create friction between coworkers. Trust is hard to be created or rebuilt.
  2. Managerial: these leaders are what every organizations would like to have under their umbrella. While their focus is on the well-being of the company. They are also there to help along their workers.
  3. Democratic: These leaders are all about their workers. While they want positive relationships among its workers. One challenge for these leaders are they do not give oppertuinty for decisions that would affects the organizations goals.
  4. Collaborative: They work together with everyone for the good of everyone. The largest challenge with this is while building communication and partnerships, the lack of proper management becomes more apparent.
