It uses the conventions of magazine/editorial layout to research, investigate, and write about strange, supernatural, unusual, or unsolved cases. The goal is to research, investigate, and compose a 4-page magazine spread layout that in content, and imagery, might fit within an issue of Weird NJ magazine. This project option is a domestic adventure: uncovering local legend and folklore, from either your hometown or a New Jersey town of your choosing. Requirements: Minimum 4-page magazine layout using Canva.com or a digital platform of your choosing. Include the following components in your project: a. A well-researched local, urban legend from your hometown or NJ town of choice; you should include and cite historical facts, historian names, local details, including names of people interviewed in newspapers or other media outlets; b. Choose two similar, related, or different urban legends or strange-ities in the style of a Weird NJ article (this involves doing some visual and investigate research of the magazine itself) c. Compose your own article (approximately 1500 - 2000 words, single- spaced) about both urban legends in a 4-page spread layout.
