Prepare an outline for the informative speech. Outlines are composed of different parts.Use two or three main points in your topic.  It's better to have more detail about a few points than minimal detail about numerous points.Informative speech topic should be based on your major.   Example:  Geology major could present information about different types of volcanoes.  You will cite your sources on the outline assignment. Use a minimum of 2 sources.Topics to stay away from - Classes to take for your degree; salary; types of jobs you can get with major; definition of your major;  YOU.  Do NOT use these as your topic.
