Project selection
* Two routes:
1 — Lecturer defined project
Go to “My Faculty (FES)”
Scroll down to ”ELEE1166 IRP Sept start” or “ELEE1166 Jan start”
as appropriate for list of projects
Click on ONE project to request it
Lecturer approves or declines project selection
2— Student defined project
Complete Project proposal form (see Moodle page)
Send/take it to preferred supervisor (lecturer)
Lecturer will either sign it or suggest improvements
Once signed, lecturer will add it to the list of projects and allocate it
Project specification report
¢ 4sections/chapters answering 4 questions
* Project definition
* Literature review
¢ Methodology and resources
* Project plan and risk assessment

Project definition
¢ One or two paragraphs agreed with your supervisor
¢ Probably similar to what is on “the list”
¢ Aim of the project (the “big thing”)
* Objectives of the project (steps to achieving the aim)
¢ Deliverables (reports, artefacts, design drawings, etc.)
¢ Scope of the project (do you need to limit what you do?)
