Moral theorizing and important moral theories

1st paragraph

An altercation in which the conclusion is a meaningful statement is known as a moral argument. A moral declaration asserts that an individual or encouragement is good or terrible, or that an activity is correct or incorrect (proper or improper). Without a moral assumption, we cannot reach a final statement in a moral type of argument. At least one assumption claims a universal moral concept, at least one assumption is a non-moral assertion, and the closure is a moral conclusion or declaration in a traditional moral argument.

Moreover, moralities theories are trying to describe what makes an individual good or what makes an action correct. We analyze moral concepts and theories in the same way that we analyze any other theory; mainly by appealing suitable standards to the theory and its participants. Agreement with deliberate moral conclusions or discernments, the regularity with our wisdom of the moral life, and the viability in real-world conditions are the main criteria for adequacy for moral theories.

2nd paragraph

Utilitarianism is an important moral theory for American society. This theory supports actions that enhance happiness and oppose activities that result in unhappiness. It also promotes a major amount of good for a greater number of people. Americans often follow this theory because this theory determines right aspects from wrong actions by focusing on results. It also holds ethical opportunities that produce the utmost good for the maximum number. For example, if an American hospital has six patients whose lives rely on getting organ transplants such as liver, kidney, lungs, and heart. Therefore, if a healthy individual walks into hospice, then his organs might be implanted to save these six lives at the expenditure of single life (Häyry, 2021). Utilitarianism is based on the reasoning that determines wrong and right and it also contains numerous limitations. Pharmaceutical companies of America also work on a utilitarianism approach, as these companies release medicines that have been approved with side effects, and these drugs are capable to aid more individuals that are concerned by slight side effects.
