The Globalization of the Banking System

For this assignment, you must use detailed statistical data, researched information and economic theories to support the arguments that you will present in your text.

Research two Banking systems integrated globally, conduct a SWOT analysis of these Banking systems, and compare and contrast them. 

Research and Presentation

Describe the nature and the scope of the interaction of the U.S, the Chinese or the European Banking system with the global market.

1. • Describe the size of the interaction of the U.S, the Chinese or the European Banking system with the global market. You must use statistical data and factual information to address this question..
   • Make a qualitative assessment of various aspects of the nature of the interaction of the U.S, the Chinese or the European Banking system with the global market.
   • You must integrate at least two economic or financial concepts acquired in this class to analyze the interaction of the U.S, the Chinese or the European Banking system with the global market. You can use graphs or equations to relate the theory that you chose.

SWOT Analysis

• Determine the strengths of the U.S, the Chinese or the European Banking system with regards to its link to the global Banking system. These strengths can be governmental institutions, private companies, sub-sectors of our economy, economic or Banking variables,… Justify and list why the area that you described is indeed a strength.
• Determine the weaknesses of the U.S, the Chinese or the European Banking system with regards to its link to the global Banking system. These weaknesses can be governmental institutions, private companies, sub-sectors of our economy, economic or Banking variables,… Justify and list why the area that you described is indeed a weakness.

Policy

Use the knowledge acquired in this class to make a normative assessment and propose a policy recommendation that could be enacted to strengthen the “weaker” areas of the U.S, the Chinese or the European Banking system that was mentioned in your answer to Question II b). Again, only consider the weaknesses of the U.S, the Chinese or the European Banking system with regards to its link to the global Banking system. (This last question will account for a significant portion of your Final Presentation grade)
