Why I selected this individual and/or team and how they will support my success in the MSN program and as a practicing nurse: My course instructor has been delivering nursing course material and guiding nursing students through their degree programs for several years and has quite the experience as well as expertise necessary to help me successfully complete my MSN program. I selected him because he has expressed the willingness to help all students in their area of academic difficulties as well as give advice whenever needed.

Notes: The current MSN class is going through the course together and so most likely facing the same challenges academic and professional challenges simultaneously. I selected this team because we can work together to help each other find solutions to any challenges faced individually or as a team. My course mates can help me better understand academic areas that I may find challenging, and also swap experiences and solutions encountered at our different work places and during the capstone project.

Notes: I selected xxxx because she is my immediate work supervisor with several years nursing experience which continue to be a great resource in both my day-to-day work and study life. My supervisor has been supportive of me pursuing the MSN by offering to help me balance the work/study life through favorable work shifts.  Her extensive knowledge on nursing and healthcare practice will be a great resource to help me succeed professionally and academically particularly during the capstone project.

As a team, we learn from each other, especially from the more experienced members of the team, and help point out each other’s weak areas in order to improve.
