Answer:

Therefore the milk is cheaper at home than abroad over the course of a month.

Step-by-step explanation

Given that;

At hoe you consume about 2 gallons of milk per month with an average cost of $1.98 per gallon.

This means that in a month at Home you spend (2*$1.98) = $3.96 on milk per month.

On abroad, you consume still the same amount by her milk is sold in liters and not gallons.

Given the rates of conversion 1 gallon of milk = 231 cubic inches = 3.785 liters. now if you consume two gallons the same way you consume at home the it means that in one month you will consume (3.785*2) =7.57 liters.

Given that one Liter = 1.07 Euros, therefore 7.57 liters = (7.57*1.07) = 8.0999   8.1 Euros.

The last part is to compare the cost at home and the cost abroad

At home you spend $3.96 on milk per month while abroad the milk is sold in terms of Euros. and you spend 8.1 Euros.

Given that 1 USD = 0.82 Euro (as at today) therefore 8.1 Euro will be how much USD

this is given as  8.1×1?/0.82 = 9.88 USD

This means that At home you spend $3.96 on milk per month while abroad you will spend $9.88.

Therefore the milk is cheaper at home than abroad over the course of a month.
