He describes these stages from sensory motor stage (0-2years), pre-operational stage (2-7years), concrete operational stage (7-11years) and formal operational stage (12-above years). The children described in the video are in the third stage of development (concrete operational stage, 7-11 years. They seem to use inductive reasoning, discover logic and the brain is capable of build concrete operational mental structures. They are able to deduce that killing is not good and are worried why Martin Luther is killed. They are able to understand and appreciate their uniqueness in feelings and thought. They are able to understand that being recognized is good while being criticized is bad. They are in a situation to understand how it feels to hurt someone and resolves into not discriminating or hurting others. They are able to put themselves in others state. This approach to teach student is not the best.
