Many times, counselors work with children, adolescents, and adults whose anger and aggression impact their lives negatively

Psychology

Many times, counselors work with children, adolescents, and adults whose anger and aggression impact their lives negatively.  Imagine you are developing a six-session group for either children, adolescents, or adults who are angry and aggressive toward others. They express this anger and aggression externally or internally resulting in problematic behaviors and poor relationships.

1. What specific considerations do you need to take into account in working with this population?

2. Create one small group lesson plan you would use with this group and post it for other learners to examine.

a. Be certain to identify which stage of group you will implement your lesson

b. Describe possible member to member interactions AND group leader interactions/role.

It is important to make sure that the lesson is appropriate for that stage of group and that the activities/interventions are developmentally appropriate for the group as well.
