There are a lot of conflict resolution and negotiation techniques strategies. What I am providing you is based on my experienced.

CONFLICT RESOLUTION:

 

1.   Behavior acceptance -

Every individual has its different behavior because of the upbringing, culture and education background. With this strategy it eliminates potential problems by setting a standard of behavior in the workplace.

           Example: Spoiled Brat - Don't ignore their ideas because they are still part of the team.

 

2.   Avoid Conflict -

           Collaboration is the best strategies tools needed and if there is needs to reprimand do it.

Example: Brainstorming - Everyone has their own different ideas, skills and talents. Don't be biases instead accept all ideas and apply the best one.

 

3.   Compliment -

Good to give compliment for every achievement so that they will feel that they belong to the group and will boost their confidence.

Example: Submit before the deadline - congratulating or acknowledging is pleasant to hear.

 

4.   Don't ever jump to conclusions -

           Treatment should be fair and provide an opportunity to share their perspective.

                       Example: Mistakes - don't' ever assume try to investigate and provide guidance and restate the policy and procedures.

 

5.   Offer Guidance instead not solutions -

This will help the team to work together and productively.

           Example: Miscommunication issue - don't' ever provide solutions instead guide them with a guidelines for them to check and follow.

 

6.   Constructive criticism -

Allow to address the issue but acknowledge the good work and offer guidance so the problem will be resolve.

           Example: Lazy and not following instructions - provide the pros and cons for being lazy and share the result of being effective member of the group so that he or she can realize to correct the mistake or bad habit.

 

7.   Don't' intimidate and Act decisively -

Don't let fear arise but help them to confide. Needs to come with right decision immediately to maintain good leadership.

           Example: Punishment - don't give punishment instead provide merit for the good result.

 

NEGOTIATION RESOLUTION:

You have to think about the best and the worst in every group assignment but always bear in mind, to come up a good result always think positive in every issue and there should always be give and take.
