Assignment 3: Professional Email
Total Value of Assignment 3: 10% of course grade
The assignment: You will invent a business project and a client (i.e. an internal project sponsor or an external client). This client is patiently expecting a project update from your team. Unfortunately, something has gone wrong with the project, resulting in either: a significant delay; a quality failure; or, an increase in the project cost. You have to write a professional email to the client to communicate 1) this negative update, 2) the impact of the update on the wider project, and 3) the recommended next steps that you would advise the client to follow, in order to remedy this situation.
