Use the elementary textbooks you selected to complete the following table. You must review at least one textbook from each of the following three grades ranges: Grades K–2, Grades 3–5, and Grades 6–8.

 

For example, you may review a book from Grades 1, 4, and 7 to meet the requirements of this assignment. If your sample textbook does not contain any of the graphs listed below, please indicate that as you complete the table.

This leads into creating a picture graph of one of the topics, such as types of shoes. Students also learn to read and solve problems using the picture graphs.	They cover bar graphs second.   Students will take the information from the picture graphs that they have created and create a bar graph. They usually create a horizontal bar graph first. Students also learn to read and solve problems using bar graphs.	Line graphs are not introduced in the textbook.	Circle graphs are not introduced in the textbook.	Tally charts are introduced before any graphing is completed.   Students help the teacher create a tally chart on the board using objects. Then, the chart is translated to a graph.
