  1. To apply all skills, and concepts in class to develop a website for ONE of the below scenarios based on website design principles and current web standards to include: site organisation, navigation design, page layout design, text design, colour scheme, and accessibility.
  2. To deploy and test your website to the web host provided.

You are required to build a website for ONE of the cases below.

 

Scenario 1:

Company: Cypress Vitality Health and Beauty Clinic

Owner: Rachel Nolan

 

Cypress Vitality Clinic provides the highest standard in treatments and personal care of the client.  

 

Owner’s comments:

“Our aim is to make sure the client, leaves feeling calm and relaxed after having much needed YOU time, whether it’s 10 minutes or 2 hours.”

 

The owner Rachel Nolan received the Guinot Regional Therapist 2019 and the clinic received the Guinot Crown Salon for 2017 and also 2019.   The clinic only uses the best products that have been researched and tested thoroughly, to make sure the client receives the very best.

 

Staff:

  1. Rachel Nolan: Guinot Therapist, facials, Regenerating Anti-Ageing, facial massage.
  2. Anna Afzal: Specialist therapist in brows and lashes LashPerfect and Phibrows microblading and all other eycare treatments
  3. Jane Esmonde: Nails Shellac or Vinylux polish
  4. Miriam Tully: Waxing and body wraps.

 

Other treatments provided are Swedish and Hot Stone massage, Aromatherapy and tanning.

 

Scenario 2:

Company: ghCakes

Owner: George Hickey

 

A new designer cake shop in Dublin that wants to take their business online. The focus of the business is bespoke customized cakes for Wedding, Birthdays, Anniversaries and other special occasions. 

 

Owner's comments:

At ghCakes we want to make people feel like they want to eat the cakes and show the customer options, ingredient and price listings - any type of celebration that can be enhanced by cake!  It’s not just a cake it’s a work of Art

 

  • We cater for people with special dietary requirements e.g. Coeliac, Diabetes and Low Fat”

Provides a wide range of inspiring Adventures holidays and experiences including Extreme Sports.  The company has vast experience working in the adventure industry; we only present you with the very best.  

Owner’s Comments:

“Our overall goal is to increase participation in the world of extreme sports and adventures.  Solve the headache of wondering where to go and what to do.”

 

 “Test you talent and nerve to the maxActivities for all ages and lifestyles including group activities, corporate events, hen and stag groups.”

BikeWorld provides top brand bikes for all ages, lifestyles as well as bike accessories.  BikeWorld also provides bike servicing and repairs and advice on all bike related issues. 

 

Owner's comments

“Managed and staffed by avid cyclists and motor bikes fanatics.  We’re passionate about bikes.   We want to take the business online to provide information to our customers about bikes we sell, prices and customer Service, payment-plan, bike service and repairs events and clubs, contact, order form”
