For the basic public goods game, the general components in secret appoint the number of individual tokens to be in place of an open pot. Examples of 'public's' involve City Park, national defense, lighting on the streets, and flood regulation systems (disaster management). Every individual gets to benefit from them regardless of one's contribution, gender or ethnicity.

The closed contribution is one of the variations. The monetary value brought about by each firm or member is hidden. The members involved do not disclose to one another their ideas on contributions.

Another factor is open contributions. Every member gives their values openly without any hidden agenda, and in every round, they disclose the figures to other investors who they share a common goal.

Multiplicative supply also varies with public goods games. The pool is divided evenly and later multiplied by the unknown contributions before being split among the members or investors involved.
