Macroeconomics studies economy as a whole. Policymakers, businessmen, investors and economists use macroeconomics variables to make their daily economic decisions. These macroeconomics variables are;

1. National income, Gross domestic product, Gross national product e.t.c.
2. Savings, investments, consumption, interest rates and inflation rate of the whole economy.
3. Monetary and fiscal policies which affect taxes, government spending, money supply and interest rates.
4. Public debt.
5. Unemployment and poverty rate in the country.
6. International trade and international finance; current account, capital account and foreign exchange.
