Imagine a planet where the intellectual, learned behavior of a gorilla could be equal to that of a human? I mean they taught Koko and Michael sign language to communicate to humans. https://www2.palomar.edu/users/jtagg/di/fall99/adams.htm (Links to an external site.) You could read all about that here. The question is can a gorilla learn and be educated like a human ? Can they get a PHD  in Anthropology? The answer is no. Why, yes they can learn simple sign language, they can’t go to school, study and learn anthropology in order to get a PHD. My point is simple, it’s my belief that God makes humans so utterly amazing, that of course we stand out, because he gave  us the ability to comprehend and learn and train ourselves to be the very best we were meant to be. The question is did we start off as gorillas and through evolution we evolved into humans? It's my opinion, I don't think so. Even if one doesn’t believe in God, one knows that a gorilla doesn’t have the abilities of that of a human brain. Of course we have similarities, like hands and feet, but they differ in their intellectual abilities. The psychological ability of a human to have an in depth conversation with another human about climate control, can not be done by another primate.I’ve learned this by listening to Dr. Johansen, reading our text and many utube videos as well. Plus heated conversations with my sisters who are in the process of getting their doctrine in education.I feel like when we compare the similarities of gorillas and humans it takes away from humans wonderful complexities, that makes us so awesome. What I also find difficult in these modules are all the names and different type of primates there are. It becomes a bit overwhelming for me. I will do my best, but I think this module will truly test me. Have a great week.
