Effective Approaches in Leadership and Management

Achieving the coveted Magnet Status accreditation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) is considered to be one of the most prestigious recognitions a hospital can obtain (ANCC, 2016). The focus of leaders and managers during this arduous transition must have individual foci, yet overlap one another in order to fully complement the intent behind the change. This paper will provide a comparative analysis of leaders and managers in relation to magnet transition, as well as identification of a preferred approach. Finally, personal explanation as to the reasons behind this approach will be provided.
