The difference of opinions comes because of the huge cost that the city of calgary will bear in order to host the olympic games.

According to sports economist lander,estimated cost is $5.2 billion,but he says that real cost would go up to $8 billion.reason is that cost of refurnishing old facilities would be $900 million and there would be other costs also.so considering this fact we can conclude that surely cost would be very high and there may be possibility that cost may outrun benefits and would not be not beneficial for the canadian economy and that is why they should not host olympics.
